Post-Partum hormones suck the big one.
I did not experience the beautiful, amazing mane of hair they tell you will happen when you’re pregnant.
This didn’t stop my hair from falling out in fistfuls starting at 6 weeks post-partum. I am now on a non-hormonal birth control and I use a strengthening shampoo and conditioner. My hair loss isn’t quite so jarring anymore.

Because they mis-filed our insurance, I was finally able to view Juliet’s bill for her 9-week hospital stay.

The Husband got me the usual V-day present of chocolate ice cream with gummi bears (my fave. seriously, it’s the best!) and this year he mixed it up by getting Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food instead of just plain old chocolate. WIN.

Juliet has been screaming her head off all afternoon. I knew that she desperately needed a nap but apparently she had to get to that point herself.

You know how the second Final Destination movie revolves around a log truck?
Well, I do. And my irrational fear of log trucks that movie is to be blamed for, isn’t helped by the fact that there is a saw mill in close proximity to my house and I see log trucks all.the.time.
And it happened today. On a road I use every day.
